Questions
Many people sense that there is something missing in their lives — a deeper emptiness that success, relationships, pleasure, or even good circumstances never seem to fully satisfy. The Bible teaches that this is not an accident. God created us to know Him, and that longing can be His gentle way of drawing our attention to the fact that we were made for more than this world alone.
God has also made Himself known in other ways.
Through creation — its beauty, order, and complexity point to a Creator.
And through our conscience — our deep awareness of right and wrong points to a moral Lawgiver.
Ultimately, God can be known personally through His Word and through His Son, Jesus Christ. Knowing God is not only about evidence — it is also about being willing to seek Him honestly and respond to the quiet ways He is already stirring your heart.
1
How can I know God is real?
The Bible teaches that every person has fallen short of God’s perfect standard. Sin is not just something we do — it is a condition of the human heart. Because of sin, our relationship with God has been broken, and we cannot repair it on our own.
We need a Savior because we cannot save ourselves.
That is why God sent Jesus — not to help us improve our lives, but to rescue us and restore us to Himself.
2
Why do I need a Savior?
To be saved means to be forgiven by God, brought into a right relationship with Him, and given new life through Jesus Christ.
Salvation is not something we earn by being good, religious, or sincere. It is a gift from God, received by faith. We are saved when we trust in Jesus — believing that He died for our sins and rose again, and placing our confidence in Him alone.
3
What does it mean to be saved?
Jesus did not claim to be one way among many. He claimed to be the way, the truth, and the life.
Only Jesus lived a sinless life.
Only Jesus offered Himself as a perfect sacrifice for sin.
Only Jesus rose from the dead.
Because our separation from God is caused by sin, only a perfect Savior can remove that barrier. Jesus alone has the authority to forgive and the power to give eternal life.
4
Why is Jesus the only way?
What if I don’t feel worthy of God’s forgiveness?
5
None of us are worthy of God’s forgiveness. That is exactly why grace is such good news.
God does not ask you to clean up your life before coming to Him. He invites you to come just as you are. Forgiveness is not based on your goodness, your past, or your performance — it is based on what Jesus has already done for you.
No failure, no history, and no regret is greater than God’s mercy.
How do I begin a relationship with Christ?
6
A relationship with Jesus begins with humility and faith.
It means honestly recognizing your need for Him, humbling yourself before God, and turning away from trusting in your own goodness or ability to save yourself. It also means believing that Jesus died and rose again for your salvation, and submitting yourself to Him as your Savior and Lord.
The Bible promises that anyone who comes to Christ in humble, trusting faith will be received.
You can speak to God right now, in your own words, asking Him to forgive you, to give you new life through Jesus, and to lead your life from this point forward.
Doubt does not disqualify you. Many believers began their journey with questions and uncertainty.
Jesus welcomed honest seekers and met them with compassion. God invites you to keep asking, keep seeking, and keep coming to Him with your concerns. Faith often grows through honest questions, not through pretending we have none.
You do not need to have everything figured out before coming to Christ.
